Project Outreach continues into the 2011-2012
School-year!
Increasing
Number of First-time vacationing families through Project Outreach
During
Summer 2010, sixteen first-time families had a vacation. Summer 2011, the number
increased to twenty-four. Help us increase that number again for Summer
2012.
Are you with an
agency that serves families? Is Waupoos Family Farm a gem that is
new to you?
To
better fulfill the Waupoos Foundation mission of providing vacations to families
in need, an outreach project is underway, using the theme of “A getaway! Bring your family here and
take home your vacation memories! Safe playing for your child! Easy for you
to get away!”
We
are going out to agencies in the Ottawa area whose clients include families
in need, to raise awareness of the need Waupoos serves and to encourage
referrals of first-time families to summer vacations and school-year
vacations.
We
are presenting to the staff, volunteers and clients to encourage how YOU can
help by referring first-time families. These agencies include Ottawa
Housing Community Houses, Community Health and Resource Centres,
young-parent support organizations and other social agencies.
